Spring Collection - part 2

Cherry Blossom season is pretty much over but I see lots of pretty tulips in the neighborhood. That inspired me to make some shrinky dink necklace.

Spring Collection - part 1

Even though it's still chilly here in North West, Spring is around the corner. So, that made me want to creat some Spring lines to add to my jewelry collection.

Blue Flower Bud Earrings

They are made with my original photograph of cute little flower buds that I found in the Bahamas last Spring. The place was filled with pretty flowers and plants and I remember taking lots of photos. Images were printed on Ink Jet Shrinky-Dinks (yes, they make those now...we live in the future!) and coated with epoxy resin.

Kitsch item of the day

Rainy day in Seattle... I already miss the sunshine! The Spring is definitely there, though. I see all the pretty flowers and cherry blossoms out there. I should take some pictures of them and post them here sometime soon.

Anyhow, I made this necklace a couple of days ago upcycling my old jewelry parts and adding a cute little bow. I love pink and I love polka dots. The bead is acrylic and light weight. It's really cute and I almost want to keep it for myself.

Sunny!!!

Finally a nice sunny day here in Seattle!!! I definitely needed a break from all the rain (and partial snow). I see lots of flowers blooming everywhere...I love checking out all the plants and flowers in the neighborhood as I walk my dogs with my husband.
I got inspired today and started working on some new images for my Spring Collection. They are still unfinished.... I will post photos here when I am done.

1st Entry...

I had to think for a couple of days: What should I write as my 1st blog entry? It's kind of like a blind date. Kind of awkward. Kind of at loss of words. Maybe I should skip this process all together.

Anyhow, this blog is going to be about hand made stuff and jewelry making, but I am also going to talk about my other interests such as dogs and other animals, desserts, people, and about myself. I may complain about weather once in a while...yes the rain...rain...so much rain...
